Hexagonal wall tile
Recycled cardboard and water — no binders, no additives. Specifications, tolerances and transparent development status.
Test & development status per property
Transparency about what's been tested, what we're working on, and what remains open.
Mould & odour resistance
Not yet testedFormal tests for mould and odour resistance still need to be conducted.
Surface cleanability
TestedSurface can be wiped with a lightly damp cloth. Paper-like texture is preserved.
Fire classification
In developmentFire retardancy is the target. We're exploring options that don't compromise the environmental profile.
Moisture resistance
Not yet testedThe current generation is designed for dry indoor spaces. Bathroom/shower is a future goal.
UV resistance
Not yet testedLong-term colour fastness upon exposure to direct sunlight has not yet been investigated.
Acoustic performance
Not yet testedSound absorption values (NRC) have not been measured.
Suitability & care
We consciously communicate what our tile can and cannot (yet) do.
- Dry indoor spaces
- Living rooms, offices, studios
- Walls
- Wipeable with a lightly damp cloth
- Bathrooms, showers, wet rooms
- Outdoor applications
- Floors or ceilings
- High-humidity environments
Proof ladder
What we can prove now, what we’re working on, and what we consciously don’t claim.
100% recycled cardboard as raw material. Cold pressed, no energy-intensive baking process.
Water reduction per tile through process optimisation. Hollow back: less material + faster drying. Investigating fire-retardant properties.
No “100% sustainable”, “climate positive” or “eco-friendly” — we don’t use vague superlatives. Our sustainability claims are specific and provable.
From cardboard to tile
Our base material is recycled cardboard — refined into a fine pulp and mixed with water. No binders, no additives. The mixture is cold pressed in a mould and dries into a sturdy, lightweight tile.
The cardboard colour is a result of the material itself. Each tile is therefore unique in shade and texture — a deliberate choice, not a shortcoming.
